Fisheye Timelapse Video (11/30/2015)

November 30, 2015

Recently decided to try out lenses for my phone. They were relatively cheap and nearly all produce a black ring around the center of the image.

Video taken with my Moto X Pure edition phone with a fisheye lens attached. I think it turned out well for a smartphone, free app and cheap smartphone lens.

Smartphone camera quality still hasn't reached the level of DSLRs, but for most people it's enough not to need a camera.

Tallest in town (11/10/15)

November 10, 2015

The tallest building in Salisbury N.C. — called The Plaza — shines in mounted spotlights on a cloudy weekend night.

The building is situated at the intersection of two of the city's busiest streets.

I changed this photo to black and white because of the strange mixed lighting and the colors they produced. Some were yellowish, others were blue.

Reversed reflection (10/19/15)

October 19, 2015

It's been entirely too long since I've posted to this blog.

Here's a recent photo overlooking Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury. Didn't notice until after I took the photo that there's a faint reflection of the light streaks in the sky.

I'm not sure how to prevent the reversed reflection other than not directly facing the car.
