Tallest in town (11/10/15)

November 10, 2015

The tallest building in Salisbury N.C. — called The Plaza — shines in mounted spotlights on a cloudy weekend night.

The building is situated at the intersection of two of the city's busiest streets.

I changed this photo to black and white because of the strange mixed lighting and the colors they produced. Some were yellowish, others were blue.

Half built and forgotten (1/3/15)

January 3, 2015

Near where I live there's a huge piece of undeveloped land. On this piece of property there's paved streets with curbs. The grassy areas are hugely overgrown. The overgrown grass is joined by pieces of pipe and other construction materials. I wonder what happened to this development.

Press Room in black and white (11/8/14)

November 8, 2014

A view down the side of the Salisbury Post's printing press. The first tower in this picture is near the end of the printing press and the pages are already complete by reaching this point.

This is the control panel for the printing press. Normally it's buttons are lit with various bright colors as the machine is running.

A pile of printed newspapers from the night before sit on the top of the control panel.

A series of identical buttons sit on one portion of the control panel in the press room.

The final product. A huge sheet of newspaper print sits motionless after being printed the night before.
