Took this picture just outside of the Salisbury, N.C. city limits in front of a church on Cottage Street. Weather was fairly rainy and gross, but it broke just long enough to head outside. Used a fisheye lens.
Half built and forgotten (1/3/15)
Near where I live there's a huge piece of undeveloped land. On this piece of property there's paved streets with curbs. The grassy areas are hugely overgrown. The overgrown grass is joined by pieces of pipe and other construction materials. I wonder what happened to this development.
Charred and abandoned (12/31/14)
A car with flattened tires sits next to a half-charred house in Salisbury N.C. Piles of furniture, clothes and household items surround the house along with emergency tape.
Broken and overgrown (12/28/14)
Vines and other plants grow through an old, decrepit car in an empty lot. The lot sits on the west side of Salisbury N.C.
Tis the season (12/28/14)
Took this on Christmas morning right before the big pile of wrapped presents transformed into toys, clothes and electronics. Christmas is always exciting because of presents, but spending time with family is perhaps the most important part of the holiday.
Outdated and antiquated (12/21/14)
Who even uses payphone’s anymore? Apparently, only people that like to scribble gang names on things. This pay phone is sitting in the same parking lot as yesterday’s shopping cart picture
Sitting all alone (12/20/14)
A shopping cart sits in an empty parking lot near the intersection of Mooresville Road and South Main Street in Salisbury. The weird thing is that none of the stores in the complex have carts. There’s a pawn shop, laundromat and barbershop.
Voting in the 21st Century (12/18/14)
The Rowan County Board of Elections recently received a few dozen new machines to help check in voters during elections. Previously, election staff used spreadsheets and stickers. Here, a representative from the company who sold the machines sets one up.
Guarded by age (12/16/14)
Saw this fence while walking near downtown Salisbury this weekend. Thought the algae and peeling paint and the fence looked interesting.
Rocket car (12/10/14)
I’ve really started to like taking long-exposure pictures of cars zooming by. This one was taken on an overpass of Interstate 85 near China Grove N.C.
