Rooftop camera (10/28/14)

October 28, 2014

Just one day after getting on the roof of the Salisbury Post for the first time, I was able to get on the top of the tallest building in Salisbury N.C. Thought the fact that this camera was on the top of the building was a little goofy. Does this camera even have good enough resolution to see the ground?

Showing off his room in Hefner V.A. Medical Center (Oct. 10, 2014)

October 10, 2014

While working on a story about a new wing opening at the Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, I snapped this picture of one of its long-term residents. This is Henzly Harrison, an army veteran. I remember walking into his room and he was blasting some sweet oldies from a stereo. He welcomed me to come back and listen to some music with him as soon as I had the chance.
